Who we are

Peer Fitness is published by TexvnX. This policy explains what the Peer Fitness app and the website at peerfitness.texvnx.com collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

What we collect

Your account details (your email address, or the Google account you sign in with, and a display name), your step goal and weekly commitment, your time zone, your daily check-ins, the step counts recorded against them, and any private notes you add. Your League tier (a yearly rank) and your personal bests are worked out from your check-ins; they are not separate records. If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so friends’ nudges can reach you. If you subscribe or buy Lifetime access, we receive the purchase record from Google Play: the plan, its price and currency, the order id, the purchase token, its status (trial, active, cancelled, refunded) and its dates. We do not receive your card or other payment details; Google Play handles payment. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier.

Health and fitness data

If you turn on automatic step tracking, we read your daily step count from Health Connect on Android (or Motion & Fitness on iOS) and from your phone’s step sensor. If you also allow them, we read today’s active calories and today’s distance from Health Connect. We read step counts, active calories and distance only: no heart rate, sleep, location, weight, or workout data. Steps are used to fill in your daily check-in, to work out your streak, and to show connected friends your step figures as described below. Active calories and distance are shown to you on Summary and nowhere else: they are read on your phone and never sent to our servers. When Health Connect has none, the app estimates them from your steps, also on your phone. They are never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with data brokers or any other third party. They are kept for as long as your account exists and are permanently erased when your account is deleted. You can turn automatic tracking off at any time in Profile → Auto step tracking, or revoke access in Health Connect, and the app keeps working with steps typed in by hand. Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Payments

Payments are processed by Google Play under Google’s terms and privacy policy. We use the purchase record only to give you access, to show your plan and renewal date, to handle restores, and to keep the records tax law requires. We never sell it or use it for advertising. When you delete your account we cancel any active renewal on your behalf and keep the purchase record, separated from your name and email, for up to 7 years where the law requires us to.

What your friends see

A friend is someone you connected with by exchanging an invite code. Connected friends see your display name, whether you have checked in today, your step counts (today’s, this week’s and this month’s totals, your all-time total, and your best day and its date), your daily step goal, whether today is a rest day, whether each day met your goal (they can look back through past months), your own streak and your best streak, the streak you share with them, the achievements those figures unlock, and your League tier this year and the league each past year ended in. They never see your calories or anything you write in a note. People you are not connected with see nothing. Disconnecting a friend removes their access immediately.

What stays private

Private notes, active calories and distance are never shared with anyone, including your friends. Friends see the totals, bests and day outcomes described above, never a day-by-day list of your step counts. Your choice of kilometres or miles is kept on your phone only.

Crash reports and diagnostics

We use Sentry to record crashes and errors so we can fix them. Those reports carry a technical description of the failure, your device model and operating system version, and your anonymous account id. They never carry your email address, your name, your step counts, or your note text.

Session recordings

We use Microsoft Clarity to record how the app is used (which screens are opened and where people tap) so we can find the parts that are confusing or broken. Recordings are linked to your anonymous account id, never to your email address, and text on screen is masked before it leaves your device. Clarity keeps recordings for up to 30 days. Microsoft processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com.

Service providers

Your data is stored with Supabase. Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Purchases are processed by Google Play. Crash reports go to Sentry and session recordings to Microsoft Clarity. Each of them processes data only to provide that service to us. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and the app contains no advertising.

Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your account is protected by row-level security, so one account cannot read another account’s data except for the friend information described above.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, tap your name, then Delete account. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently erased, including your check-ins, step counts, notes, and friend connections, after 30 days. Signing back in during that window restores it. Deleting your account cancels future renewals of any subscription. It does not refund the current period; refunds are handled by Google Play. If you no longer have the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. Instructions are also at peerfitness.texvnx.com/delete-account.

Your rights

You can see and correct your data in the app, export it on request, and delete it at any time. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK, or California) you may have further rights to access, correct, port, or erase your data and to object to its processing. Email us to use any of them and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

Peer Fitness is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect and update the date above.
