Terms of Use

Last updated 7 October 2026

1. The service

Peer Fitness is an app for daily check-ins, built around consistency rather than performance. Using it requires an active subscription or Lifetime access after the trial (see 3). It is not medical advice and does not replace guidance from a qualified professional. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise routine.

2. Your account

Keep the email address or Google account you use to sign in secure. One account per person, and you must be at least 16 to use the service.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Peer Fitness is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, bought through Google Play.

Trial. Monthly and yearly plans start with a 14-day trial for new subscribers, once per Google account. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, the plan’s price is charged on the date shown when you subscribed.

Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Price changes. We will tell you in advance, and Google Play will ask for your consent where required.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the law where you live.

Lifetime. One payment for access for as long as Peer Fitness is offered. If we ever discontinue the app, we will give at least 90 days’ notice.

Access ends if a payment fails and isn’t fixed, a purchase is refunded or reversed, or a subscription expires. Your data stays in your account, and you can still delete it, sign out, or subscribe again.

4. Your content

Your check-ins, step counts, and notes belong to you. You grant us only the licence needed to store them and show them back to you, and to show connected friends the limited information described in the Privacy Policy: your display name, whether you checked in today, today’s steps and goal, whether today is a rest day, your streak and best streak, your shared streak, your step totals and best day, your League tiers, and whether recent days met your goal.

5. Friends and nudges

Connecting with a friend is mutual: it takes an invite code from one of you and an acceptance from the other, and either of you can disconnect at any time. Nudges are short encouragements. Do not use them, or your display name, to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.

6. Reporting and fair use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access other users’ data, or use the app for anything unlawful. You can report a friend from the Friends tab (press and hold their row) or by email. We review every report, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, tap your name, then Delete account. We may retain minimal records where the law requires it. Terminating an account for a breach of these terms does not entitle you to a refund beyond what Google Play or the law provides.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided as is. Step counts come from your device and Health Connect and may be inaccurate. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes

We will notify you in the app before material changes to these terms take effect. Continued use after notice means acceptance.
